Post-it Notes for art, creativity and fun!
73Post-it Note History
A Post-it note is a piece of paper, with a sticky strip of adhesive on the back, designed for temporarily attaching notes to documents and other types of surfaces. Although they are now available in a wide range of colors, shapes, and sizes, Post-it notes are normally a 3-inch (76 mm) square, piece of paper, which was originally canary yellow in color. A unique adhesive allows the notes to be easily attached and removed without leaving any marks or residue.
Post-it notes were invented by Art Fry, originally from the 3M company, while the adhesive was developed by Spencer Silver, another 3M employee. The post-it notes were made exclusively by 3M in Cynthiana, Kentucky, but soon other companies started producing Post-it Notes, although most are still being made in the same town. The term "Post-it" and the canary yellow color are both trademarks of 3M.
Be it the handy size, the various bright colors available, or the fact that they can be easily attached to paper or other surfaces, Post-it Notes have inspired many, including talented people who like to draw, doodle and paint on them! Do enjoy some of the creative websites I have found:
